From a little country town in the usa, I knew from a young age which i desired to travel and explore the entire world. I was a country girl having a city heart, as well as the small town of just over 2500 people wasn't where my calling lied.
After earning a teaching degree I made a decision that it was time for a big change. I wished to travel outside the US, and so i begun to explore opportunities available elsewhere for me. A couple weeks later I discovered an excellent teaching position in Rome, Italy.
I had been hired for the position which would start at the start of the newest school year. I began making preparations and before I knew it arrived will be able to board a jet and commence a new life in this fantastic country. It absolutely was something which was eagerly anticipated though nerve wrecking.
Im often asked things i like about teaching in Italy. This is simply not a simple question to reply to. It isnt i hate anything about teaching in Italy; there are too many stuff that I really like regarding it to merely choose one. This can be, by far, the most beautiful experience that I have ever been an integral part of.
Needless to say my paycheck is one thing that I love too. Working in a top university in Rome, my pay is much more than things i would have present in America. I love to work to see those paychecks!
But, to love employment you need to love a lot more than the paycheck, and that i know which i truly love everything about being a school teacher here in Italy. My students encourage me in numerous ways. They create it easy to unwind, unwind and feel as if I will be amongst a group of old college friends. You will find there's wonderful time day in and outing, whilst they learn nearly as much as me.
The task offers us a great schedule. I will teach my students and still be home when the kids escape school. Sometimes part-time but receive full benefits and pay. I don't know the hours and also the schedule i have could be something I really could find working anywhere else.
I also love in Rome because there is a great deal to explore and so much for me to learn . It's far different than what I am accustomed to, but I enjoy every minute from it. There is no dull moment for me personally, and i also know that we are living life to the fullest.I love a brief history in Rome, I love individuals in addition to their eagerness to learn.
For anybody considering teaching overseas, Italy is where being. Deciding traveling abroad and teach within this school has become a truly remarkable experience which includes forever changed my life. I'm so grateful that I was handed the opportunity. It isnt every single day that such an opportunity occurs.
